While walking on one of my usual routes, I found a small dead bird on a historic brick walkway. For a moment, my morbid curiosity flickered like a candle while I stood there looking at this dead bird. It seems so obvious how fragile life is. Eventually I walked away after capturing a quick picture to reference for a painting.
