While walking on one of my usual routes, I found a small dead bird on a historic brick walkway. For a moment, my morbid curiosity flickered like a candle while I stood there looking at this dead bird. I wondered how fragile life is. Eventually I walked away after capturing a quick picture to reference for a painting.. never knew their name, so I titled the painting Morte which is ‘dead’ in French.
For some odd reason, I loved this nameless dead bird - now, i see them in every dead bird.
